You do not need a camera. You need light and one good habit.
Your phone is fine. Three rules will put you ahead of almost every farm site.
Shoot in the shade, not the sun
Direct midday sun creates hard shadows. Open shade — the side of a barn, an overcast day, the hour after sunrise — is flattering and even.
Get closer than feels right
A photo of a field says nothing. A photo of your hands holding what you are selling says everything. Fill the frame.
Show people
Faces outperform landscapes on every farm site we have measured. A photo of you at the market beats a beautiful empty pasture.
